I am so sorry - I know it has been forever since I have posted. So to catch up....
Heber has been in Toledo, Ohio since August 30. He is doing an audition rotation there - it is a rotation at one of the residency programs where he hopes to go when he graduates. He really likes the hospital and the program - so we will see what happens! He has been staying with the Bassetts while he has been there, and they have gone above and beyond to take care of him while he has been there! They are such an awesome family - thanks so much for everything you did Ken and Shelley!!
It has definitely not been fun having him gone these last 3 1/2 weeks. He had some away rotations last year, but he came home on the weekends - what a difference that makes!! My heart goes out to those women whose husbands are deployed, who are single moms, or who's husbands have longer away rotations. It is tough - when you are completely empty emotionally, physically, and mentally, there is no one else to pick up the slack but you. We have missed our Dad!! Taiya has especially had a hard time, as the month has gone on she has gotten more and more clingy - to the point that she will not leave me, not to go to nursery (which she has always loved), not to go to preschool, or even to friend's houses. It was really sad when Heber first left, we came home from the store and the girls ran into the house calling "Daddy? Daddy? are you here?"
Then Taiya said "my Dad went up in the sky and now he won't come back to my house!"
But, good news, Heber comes home Thursday the 25!!! He wasn't going to come home until Saturday, the 27, and the tickets were too expensive to switch. Then Monday morning Heber called and said the prices had dropped and he was coming home Thursday!!! I am so excited and the girls are counting down the days!! YAY!!!!!
On to other news...
He is 28" long (95%)
and weighs 20lbs. 3/4 oz. (90%)
* He started sitting up alone
* Loves to laugh at his sisters, especially when they jump up and down in front of him
* Loves balloons
* Has a quick smile
* Wants to try anything we are eating or drinking
* Puts his Binky in his mouth by himself
* Loves to eat - I can't get the food to him fast enough when I am feeding him solids. He gets so angry that I have started having to give him 4oz - 6oz of milk in a bottle, to take the edge off of his hunger, and then a jar of baby food!

He has turned into such a sweet, happy baby! His first three months were incredibly hard, but he has mellowed more and more each month he has gotten older.
Here are just some random pictures from the month - Enjoy!

He's gotton so big! I don't know how you've done it with Heber gone! I have a hard time when Bill is gone for the weekend, or if I've taken a trip with just the kids! Kudos to you! Your girls are adorable! Hooray for thursdays!
I look up to you Liora! Mic leaves for travel just overnight and I flip out! So good to catch and see what you guys are up to.
How I wish we still lived by you guys! We could of had dinner all the time together and played like crazy. I love the pictures of the little man. Hope everything is going good. Hope to see you guys soon.
Hey Matt got an interview at Midwestern on Oct. 23 we just found out a day or two ago.
Taevin sounds sooooo much like how Caleb has been. Has to have a bottle before solids, a rough first few months, but getting happier and easier every day. Glad to have an update and so glad Heber is on his way back!!!! You are awesome - I don't know if I could ever handle Cameron gone for an extended amount of time.
Taevin is turning into Heber Jr!
And, my cousin and her husband are in Toledo while he is doing his residency! Man...what is her married last name?? Oh well if you run into a couple that are 6'2" and 6'11", that's them. Dana and Jay respectively.
If you guys end up over there, you will totally LOVE it! It is in my mission.
Hi Liora. I love the pics. The one of Taiya in the slip really brought back memories...wonder where I can find one for Julia. And hooray that Heber's home! I'm so happy for you guys.
