We are very excited - but it seems a little surreal! I don't really know what to do with a boy, I know girls, but boys make me a little nervous!! I'm sure I will learn though. :) We are going to name him Shem, but we can't decide on a middle - it's between Samuel, William, or Walter. Which do you like?

Congratulations!! I'm very excited for you. Don't stress too much about a boy--you'll do great. As far as the names, I'm partial to the name William--it's a family name. We used it for Caden's middle name. But i don't think you could lose with any of the ones you like--they're all great.

Just so you know, I was telling my coworkers that you are expecting a baby (they can't believe that I have a friend who already has kids), and that you were going to name him Shem. The were very confused for a while until we figured out that "shim" is a slang word for she/him. You know, people are trying to be politically correct so they don't say she or he, rather, they say shim. So they thought that I was saying that you don't know the gender of your child yet so you were just referring to it as shim.
In case the kid every heads or east or in case the slang enters the vernacular at large, you may want to rethink the name. Otherwise, the boy may have a life of gender confusion ahead
I know that I really have no say in what you name your kids (rightfully so) so take all my comments worth a grain of salt. Just thought you may want to know.
