This past week has been quite a crazy one!! Britani and I worked for Michael's Catering, Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 am to about 2:30 pm (or later). It was a ton of fun, incredibly tiring, great money, and a good learning experience. We were originally hired as temps just to help cover this week, but they asked us if we wanted to stay on part-time... we couldn't turn them down!! It will be nice because we will probably work a couple of days every few weeks. We'll see how it goes. It's amazing how Heavenly Father's opens doors and blesses us. We got the call about the job 3 days before we were needed, and I originally thought "no way! There is no way I will be able to do this - who will watch my kids, how can I be gone for that long all week?" And yet things just seemed to fall into place and the doors just seemed to open so that it became possible. Another blessing that seemed irrelevant at the time, was that everyone in our family came down with this horrible cold the week before I got this job. They had fevers, horrible coughs, nasty noses - the works. They are still trying to get over it!! I was the only one who didn't get any of it!! I have gotten parts of every other cold that have gone through our family, but not this one. Had I gotten it there is no way I could have worked in the food industry, especially with the severity of this particular cold. It's just amazing how Heavenly Father watches out for us, and it may seem little and inconsequential, but it was a tender mercy. It nice to be reminded that Heavenly Father is there for us and really is in our lives. I think our lives are full of numerous tender mercies, all we have to do is look for them.
