Heber graduated on June 5, 2009. It was so awesome to watch him take the medical oath, be hooded and walk across the stage as a DOCTOR!! I am so proud of Heber - it has been such a long road: 8 years of school, late nights, early mornings, trying to cram in more knowledge than is humanly possible to remember, 8 hour boards, the stress of matching.....there is so much involved but he did it!! I got a little teary as I watched him walk, it is awesome to see something you have worked so hard for come to pass. I love you Dr. Phillips!!! :)

After the graduation we went swimming, had a picnic and just celebrated!! Everyone pitched in and we got Heber a handgun he has been wanting as a graduation present. He was so surprised when he opened it, and way excited too! :)

ohmygosh, Heber is armed in Toledo now...he will actually fit right in.
