Jenessa started kindergarten on August 11 - and was so ready to go!! We pulled up to the school and she said, "just let me out here, I can do it myself!" I told her sorry, but I was going to walk her in so I could show her where to go. She found Anna on the playground and didn't need me anymore! I stayed to show her where to line up when the bell rang - as they all lined up her teacher, Mrs. Owens, came out and told them all the fun things they were going to do, had them blow kisses to us, then they walked inside. Jenessa was wearing the biggest smile the whole time! I was proud of myself, I felt the tear tingles but never actually had one fall. I can't believe my baby is in kindergarten, it goes so fast!!
She is going to Challenge Charter School, which I am super excited about. She goes half day and wears uniforms (which I love), they learn Spanish, computers, art, PE and music, and their goal is to have the kids reading by Christmas! I think Jenessa is going to have a blast!! When she came home after her first day she said "everyday the teacher picks someone to be the p-i-g. They get to help her, and do everything first, and sit up front. I want to be the p-i-g!!" She meant a V-I-P!

Oh that is so exciting! Makayla starts on Sept. 2nd and is very excited too. I can't believe they are already going to kindergarten.

Cute pictures! I can't believe she started school so early. The year round students here aren't even out by that time from the year before.
