Away...

So I have officially decided that away rotations are the stinkiest part of med school!!! Heber has been away in Sierra Vista, AZ for 2 1/2 weeks on an internal medicine rotation. I am ready for him to be done! It really hasn't been too bad I guess - we are surviving - but it just kinda gets old. The girls really miss him too which is hard. Yesterday Jenessa really wanted to call and talk to him even though he was in the middle of working so I told her she could leave a message. When you call him on my cell phone his picture comes up on the screen and so she was just letting the message run and looking as his picture. I told her she had to hang up and she was so sad because she "just wanted to look at the picture of daddy!" I told her to hang up and look at his picture in the hall - so she stood in the hall for a bit just looking at her Daddy's picture! All I can say is we sure do miss our Dad - thank goodness we only have a week and a half to go!!! Hurry home Daddy!!

My heart so goes out to you and your girls! I can hardly stand to be away from Stan, I couldn't imagine him being gone for five weeks! You are so brave! Keep it up . . .

That has to be so hard! I was fortunate enough that Jeremy didn't do any 'away' rotations.

I can't even imagine how hard it would be to have the hubby away for so long - I can't go more than a few days w/out Cameron before losing my mind. P.s. what are your winter rotation plans? Will you still all be in Idaho? How's your family doing in Salt Lake?

I have to agree, those away rotations are the worst. Yes, you survive but it is definitely not fun! That is why I went home for the time he was going to be away for 4 months, on and off (between rotations and interviews, etc). I hope the last bit goes really fast!
